Home Refurbishment - Canford Cliffs / Sandbanks

		This project in Canford Cliffs, near Sandbanks, Dorset involved complete refurbishment of a 3 bedroom apartment.  The property had been partially gutted prior to our arrival, unfortunately the owner had issues with the standards being achieved by the previous contractors so we were called in to remedy the situation.

We took control of the renovation project in Canford Cliffs at the point where walls still needed stripping and preparing, existing flooring and tiling needed removing and the whole property prepared ready for first fix electrics, plumbing and carpentry.

First fix plumbing to the main bathroom and ensuite were chased in where necessary, with all plumbing done in copper.  Minor first fix carpentry was carried out to convert the existing kitchen area into another bedroom / study, with the L-shaped living area planned to be a lounge/kitchen/diner area.

The ensuite bathroom and bathroom walls required complete replastering, which was carried out prior to wall and floor tiling and fitting the bathroom suites.  Bath panel and window reveals were tiled in to match the ceramic wall tiles to the bathroom walls.

				Both bathrooms were finished with full height ceramic tiling and bathroom suites featuring a walk in double shower, full size bath with shower over, vanity unit, wall hung basin and w.c.'s.  We advised the client to retain the existing Megaflo pressurised unvented hot water cylinder to give excellent water pressure for the showers.  Both bathrooms were in a modern, contemporary style, one in black and white, the other white.

		All preparation for decoration was underway whilst the bathrooms were being fitted, walls were filled and sanded down where necessary and woodwork rubbed back in readiness for painting.

Once the bathrooms were finished, work rapidly progressed on the new kitchen.  All units were fitted as per plan, with high gloss black doors, wooden worktops and integrated appliances.  Polished porcelain tiles to the floor of the kitchen were used to good effect in this area.

Decoration was completed after kitchen installation, with all walls, ceilings and woodwork finished.  Deep pile carpet was laid to the living areas and bedrooms
