This
loft conversion project was completed in
four weeks. Work involved removal of a chimney, replacement
of structural timbers and the creation of a new cropped hip
dormer, steel installation, structural floor timbers and flooring,
complete re-tiling of the roof with composite slate, fitting
a new stairwell and luxury ensuite bathroom.
Drawing up plans and dealing with
Planning Permission and Building Control to ensure Building
Control and Planning regulations were complied with were also
necessary aspects we handled on this loft conversion.
The floorboards were reclaimed and
refurbished and the room plastered & decorated in warm,
neutral tones. Velux windows to the north and south
allowed plenty of light into this room, adding to the spacious
feel.
The luxury en-suite shower room
was carefully designed to make the most of the available space
within the loft conversion, with towel rail, w.c., shower
cubicle and basin, all with contemporary chrome fittings and
trim. Floor tiles were black polished porcelain, with
large black ceramic tiles to the walls. Feature LED
lighting in the shower cubicle and halogen downlighters gave
this shower room a very modern feel.
